House Shopping! #1

I feel the distance between posts have been long and far between. Life has been hectic lately, from preparing for a new job interview and lots of meetings with important people. However, I can officially say I OWN MY OWN HOUSE!

Yes it is official, myself and my partner are now the proud owners of our own little house. As soon as the paperwork was signed, I set out looking for beautiful things to fill my house the way I've always dreamed. And of course I wanted to share the journey with all of you lovelies!

Today's post includes some items I've bought already and some that are on my list of things to buy. If you had the money, how would you kit out your boudoir?

I am pretty sure every girl dreams of their perfect make up table, with most opting for the white shabby chic look. But I've always been a sucker for the sleek and modern mirrored style furniture and this gorgeous 2 draw table from Next is now mine! Retailing originally for £290 I got mine off Ebay for a bargain - so always keep a look out and never be afraid to contact the sellers.

With the mirrored effect in mind I have fallen in love with this lamp base and decided to team it up with a chic mink coloured lamp shade (sold out online) but it might still be available in local Homebases near you. It retails for £4.99 in the sale. I purchased two and plan on using them in our bedroom as side laps for either side, where would you use them?

A room isn't finished without some warm and cosy furnishings, so with that being said as soon as I saw these lovely pieces in the Homebase sale, I knew I had to start stocking up. Which piece is your favourite? I'm carefully planning my rooms and colour schemes and as you can see, muted golds and creams are defiantly key for my room but I do plan on adding stubtle flashes of colour streaming through. Warm and welcoming but with my own twist on things.

Whats the colour of your boudoir and if you could change it how would you redecorate it?
